Works great. I'm really happy with the way this project has developed over the years.

I put my 2 cents on a legal limitation that comes with that mysterious Ocean Framework they refer to.

Never worked for me after some very old version I can't even remember anymore.

If I configure it for JACK, there is no sound and the needle won't even move. If I configure it for ALSA, the needle moves but there is no sound. Then I tweak and I tweak and I tweak and I finally get sound. Then I close it, launch it, and all my configuration is lost again.

I've contacted them some three or four times and never had a reply.

Whatever. I give up.

It works great with Jack for me. I much prefer the interface to Audacity and it's more than adequate for my needs.

I observe the same with JACK, but seems to work OK with Pulseaudio... Looks cool, I like the meters and the FFT analyzer, but I think I still like Audacity better.

The big problem with Audacity is applying effects. You check preview and apply, Audacity renders it, you listen, hmm, not good, tweak, apply, Audacity renders it, you listen, hmm, still not good, you tweak, apply, Audacity renders it... Horrible!

At least ocenaudio lets you listen and tweak in real time.

But so do Ardour or Tracktion (version 6 is free), so I don't really need this.

True. Ocenaudio has a fairly specific use case, but I think it nicely fills a gap in Linux Audio.
