Tango Studio 2.1-rc1 is released

"After one year of development, we're glad to announce the availability of Tango Studio 2.1 Live ISOs.
This new version is based on Debian Wheezy 7.2 and contains a collection of the best open-source applications available for audio creation."

This is really a good thing. I actually use KXstudio, but I have tried Tango and it's very good and carefully crafted. Leaving Ubuntu for Debian is certainly the right path : less bells and whistles, less dayly useless updates, stability improved.

TS is a great distro for sure, but if it's true that I do miss the NON tools, then I take this release less serious. A distro that is made to make working with multimedia tools more easy, should include at least NSM and the other NON tools imho.

NON tools right now are in the /dev repository, along with Cadence tools and other neat stuff. My guess is that TS devs are probably performing for some final tests...
