Rosegarden 13.10 “Joie de Vivre” released

Post by pinellos »

New release for Rosegarden:
Rosegarden 13.10 “Joie de Vivre” released!
This release mixes a sprinkle of new features with a sprinkle of bug fixes, and we hope it proves more stable in the field than 13.06 did.

Broken URL.
Anyway it is nice to see that Rosegarden is still alive.
It lacks behind other DAWs on some points but it also has some unique features which still makes it a great tool !

i love the notation and the matrix seq, perfect for drum sequencing... but my idea is: rosegarden is very good for classical soundwriting, casual midi-sequencing like piano-bar and karaoke, and everywere u need a "jolly" editor for midi-editing... but also rosegarden is poor for any type of experimental-like music, the automation system is simple orrible (u have to set up any single trigger-controller in a separate window, so u have to know already the "ID" of any controller for any plugin.... i've used carla as host and it worked fine, but qtractor - for example - make the automations very simple without an extra-host program)...
