Portable linux music computer
For you guys thinking of gigging with a computer, this seems like it could more versatile, and probably sturdier, than a laptop:

But personally, I use a rackmount computer (in a 6U SKB case, along with my QSC power amp, Roland Fantom XR, and MOTU Ultralite), and use a DoubleSight USB touchscreen monitor (atop my Roland A-90 keyboard) to operate the computer. Simple and roadworthy.

Re: Portable linux music computer
I'd spend my 1400 bucks on something else. Cool initiative though.
Re: Portable linux music computer
There was a lot of linux-based music computer projects before, almost all of them are dead now.
