Luftikus EQ
Apparently, my ISP is discontinuing web page hosting, so my "Linux software" page will be unavailable. Until I figure out what I want to do, here's a temporary link to my ladspa/lv2 versions of the Luftikus Equalizer:

Re: Luftikus EQ
I recommend you to create a sourceforge account. They still provide a great service to there users, as long you want to host OpenSource projects. They have a fast, and good working support section, and you will get enough web-space to host your web-sites and projects, could use git, svn, mysql, file host service, wiki, etc.j_e_f_f_g wrote: Until I figure out what I want to do,

The majority of my site's contents are tutorials, articles, and docs -- not really software. Plus I have everything already linked and cross-referenced.

We talk about 40G web-space here.tramp wrote:and you will get enough web-space to host your web-sites and projects
There are just 2 simple rules beside the rules any web hoster have,: you must place a sourceforge logo somewhere on your sides, you must put your down-loadable software in the file host system, or/and in a repository, not in the web host system.
If your cross-links use relative urls, they will still work, when you push your complete stuff over.
You can access your web-space per sfftp or/and ssh.
As I said, they do a great service over there.

how to use access the web-space

Re: Luftikus EQ
well, maybe it isn't a requirement any more. I just remember from when I register my first project sites there, I've read it in the instructions, that they would love if you do, or request you to do it, don't know anymore,
and do it, since then for all my sites there. I still use the logo as back-link to the projects download sections anyway.
Ah, here it is:

but you are right, isn't a requirement, but . .
SourceForge.net encourages projects to include the SourceForge.net logo on all HTML pages served from our project web service.

Re: Luftikus EQ
curious, how do you install this software on distros that are not Deb based? I'm on Arch and I've double clicked the install_lV2.sh and all that opens is a bash script.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong??

Re: Luftikus EQ
On Arch, I ran ./install_lv2.sh in a terminal inside that file’s folder and it worked.

Re: Luftikus EQ
On the other hand, it depends on how your file browser is set to deal with executable files. In Thunar, I get an ‘Execute’ option in the contextual menu.

Re: Luftikus EQ
The file is executable already. It’s just that double-clicking it might not actually run it. I remember, from my old Nautilus days, that there was a setting configuring the file browser’s behaviour when double-clicking executables (run, edit, or ask). It might be something like that.

Re: Luftikus EQ
tried clicking and dolphin and also gnome's file manager and both of them just opening up the script. when I look at it in a terminal usually an executable file would be green in color but this one was just a regular white.I will try both ways when I get home again and see what happens. Thanks again!
