Re: The Open Source Musician Podcast is back!!!
Very happy to have new shows to listen to. I think Spencer would appreciate contributions of content. I'd love to hear reviews and demos of things like effects and synths. It would also be interesting to hear someone talk through how they put a track together with open source tools. I'll try and think of something I could do.

I have heard from a very reliable source that this is true.I think Spencer would appreciate contributions of content.
I'd also love requests for topics, reviews, discussions, whatever. Feel free to email at osmp at pipemanmusic dot com or discuss in the OSMP forum [url]http://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewforum.php?f=41url] in the producers area.
Thanks for the kind words all! They really help me stay motivated to do more shows.

I'd also like to hear interviews with Robert or Tim (or both) of MusE and RobH of PyDAW infamy if any of them would be up for it?

Dave:
Oh yeah! JeffH it is! Rob Hubbard is the SID overlord - you can see how I went wrong there!
I've not had much time for music in recent weeks but I just tried the latest pydaw source but failed to get it to run under AVL6. Thats funny actually as what most impressed me about the last time I tried the pydaw source (v1 era) was what a good job he'd done of packaging the source as I'd quickly and easily ended up with a proper .deb package for whatever deb version I was running at the time and IIRC all I had to do was type make or run whatever script he'd included but now I can't even find the INSTALL or build docs? I think I'll wait until I'm back running or testing a Ubuntu - I think I may install KX or Mint on one of my machines soon.
From what Tatch tells me, pydaw won't be usable as a DAW for me just yet but I want to try it to try the WayV synth and I think Jeff would make for an interesting interviewee personally - what with his copious bags of 'tude.
F:
If OSM podcast wanted to interview you, would you be up for it?
Dave would be another good person to interview as he's taught us all a thing or two over the years and he's been the primary journalist of Linux Audio's development over the years.

Cool F!
Indeed, whenever I refer to F in the context of a Linux audio dude and anywhere in these forums it always has been and always will be referring to the one and only falktx!
I think they'll be happy to give you another month or two (or 4) to get Carla finished - won't you OSMP?

Re: The Open Source Musician Podcast is back!!!
Of course! Its great to see everyone excited. I'll have to get my act together and schedule some interviews. The problem is just me trying to schedule recording time in advance. I've never been good at planning it, its just kinda whenever I can fit it. Right now PipeMan is thinking he might do the interviews, since he's a bit better organized I think. Anyway I guess the bottom line is these are all awesome suggestions, but please be patient while we figure out how to implement them. Keep 'em coming though!won't you OSMP?

Re: The Open Source Musician Podcast is back!!!
Hey Guys! I'm really glad that the podcast is back (I was a huge fan back then). I've heard the problem of getting track of the latest news. How about making a subreddit to track all the lastest news, everybody can contribute with that option!

Very Cool!
One problem, as I was going thru the back-long I noticed that the episodes jump from Episode 28 at the end of Dec 2009 to Episode40 in May 2010....am I missing something?
PS - I just looked at the RSS feed and it has all the shows in order, so I will start on that feed. No matter, it is great to find all of these in one place. I look forward to giving them a listen to!
