I created a very "moog" type patch for amSynth that might surprise... :)
You can hear it without effects at the bottom of this page: http://amsynth.com/amSynthDemos.html

Or you can hear it with chorus and delay added, here: http://amsynth.com/variousworks.html
(It's called "Double Muug.")

Let me know if you like it! :)

Bank 7 for amSynth is done!
I'd love to hear people's thoughts, critiques, which patches they like, or just comments in general.

Sineshaper is also now part of the "family," too... :)

The more coverage the better! ;)

I'll have to read up on the Minicomputer page, since I haven't jumped into that one yet...

Brian,

Awesome job you've done so far with the site and ALL the patch banks you've created for AMSynth. I was going through them this weekend and discovered some sounds that really made me :D Also great names/descriptions for the patches -- easy to remember when I need to go back for more.

Thanks 5parkle5! I'm aware there are lots of repeats. Sometimes one sound may not inspire, but tweaking it just a bit changes things immensely.

If any of it inspires people to make good music, then I've accomplished something! :D

No problem. I'm going to be working on another synth called "Vex" for a while now. If all goes well I'll be putting it on the website in the near future..

Nice thanks !
I wonder how do you manage to still find variations and new sounds, but I am happy that you do

I once thought about the issue of probability and randomness in a synthesizer. How many sounds can one produce?
Well, let's consider:
7 oscillator settings (sine, saw, triangle, square, pulse, noise, s/h) --2 oscillators: 7*7 or 49 combinations. (In reality there are many more, as the triangle morphs to the saw and the square morphs to the pulse)

sync and ring capabilities: 4 combinations. 4*49 = 196.

Six filter possibilities: 6*196 = 1176

Then there are the filter envelope settings, detunings and the LFO effects and drive...

I don't know how many possibilities there are, but the random function helps a lot. Especially since we humans probably are "limited" by our own creativeness, and so randomness helps us to find new possibilities. Any synth without a random function is limited by human creativeness!

Using multiple instances together should be very promising, too! :D
