So after watching the interview, ask yourself, are these people I'd like to meet up with after hours? At a music-gear store? At the beach? Are they sensible? Are they friendly? Do they seem to know what they are talking about? etc

For example, I found Urs cheerier in this interview, than others I have seen, although the topic in others is often more technical. So my perception of him is now a bit more accurate.
Cheers
I fail to see why any of this is relevant. In fact, the fanboyism I am seeing about this is starting to irk me.

I've seen worse. Mostly from jehovah's witnesses, bitcoin sellers, and JACK advocates.

 it's bad on other forums, this is what someone said about it
Competition among the genious drives innovation. Successes inspire experimentation. We will be fortunate as clap succeeds, one developer at a time.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about this at all? I have almost all of my needs met by lv2 plugins already. VST3 is fine. Any gaps are easily filled with wine and yabridge. There aren't even any CLAP plugins yet. It's not going to affect me at all, probably for a long time to come. So I just don't care about some announcement about a new standard that isn't even out yet.

And I'm kinda feeling like there's a whole lot of drama about nothing. Am I alone in this?
