I hope your article gets more Linux people into the mix. VCV Rack is an open-source project licensed under the GPL, and there are a *lot* of great open-source modules freely available. Your recommended list is a good start, I'd add the Squinky Labs plugin and the Vult Free package (not open-source but immensely valuable). Also, users should know that adding modules is straightforward via the VCV Rack Library.

Good work on the article, Yann. Btw, I've been using VCV Rack since shortly after its 0.3.x release.

Best regards,

Yes, it only for people who have a brown key on their keyboard :)
Thanks for reporting the typo. I will ask the editor to fix this one ...

Thanks a lot.
I will dig into Squinky.
The only problem I found in VCV Rack: there are too many plugins :)

Amen to that. I've purposely restricted my work to use only open-source modules whenever possible. The Vult collection is the main exception, they're just too good to avoid. Ditto the NYSTHI collection, it's an incredible set of great modules, not free, but definitely fabulous. :)
