Tutorial: Make a synthpop song with MusE

Post by oscillator »

After 1,5 years of using MusE I finally realized my project of writing a MusE tutorial on how to put it all together.

Demo song for the MusE Synthpop Tutorial: https://youtu.be/Xylf7kNYmbg. This is the song that the tutorial describes how to make. Music and voice: Staffan Melin, 2020

The goal of this tutorial is to make a synthpop song with a drum machine, software synthesizers and vocals. It ends with some short instructions on how to mix and master the song.

This is an example of how to work with MusE when the focus is on sequencing and programming the music.

The tutorial including source files can be found at: https://oscillator.se/opensource

MusE DAW running on Debian 11 Testing/XFCE4.

You are welcome, I hope you find it useful and maybe even inspiring (whatever DAW you use)! :)
