General rules for routing

Prefer aux-sends over direct connections.
Avoid one-to-many direct connections (many-to-one is fine).
JACK allows anywhere-to-anywhere routing, which is nice, but not every routing is the right routing.

BTW the same can happen in the analog world. I remember a copy of a "Familie Heinz Becker" comedy episode from the 80s with an audible comb filter effect that might result from one-to-many connections with partial feedback.
