Black Lion mic is HEAVY how to stabilize?

Post by hapibeli »

My home recording setup is slowly coming together, but as you look at the mic stand, and stop laughing long enough, I could use advice on how to stand the mic up in a stable way, that won't interfere with my laptop, and the new monitors I have coming.
I can find a sideboard table , to set the laptop and monitors on, or two monitor stands with the laptop on its own stand.
But I still need a stand, or setup to hold the mic.
Thanks all.

Maybe a stand for the mic made of heavy pipe?

    how much did you spend on all that equipment and you are too tight to buy a mic stand?

You don't need a heavy bit of pipe, just a metal mic stand. You have a long length of horizontal wood and I guess that flexes. You could get rid of that reflection filter too, guessing it makes up a good deal of the weight on your stand.
