Alesis quadraverb
Anyone know where I can find the patch editor for Alesis Quadraverb.
It will obviously be windows, but I can use it with wine or Qemu.
Or if anyone know of any other non alesis editors for quadraverb available.
Thanks

Re: Alesis quadraverb
I tried this one in wine-staging 4-4 in Mint 18,
all the gui controls work OK, it promps for
a midi device at startup, but I have no Quadraverb.
Might grab one if found on the cheap.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/quaded ... e/download
https://sourceforge.net/projects/quadedit/
You could ask Bill at the Alesis support forum. Since the company
was bought out, he's been answering most of the support queries.
Might need to make an account to chat.
All versions of Midi-Quest support Quadraverb,
and might be worth the $$$ if you'll be using vintage gear a lot.
Cheers

Re: Alesis quadraverb
Thanks for the advice.
I did join midiquest to find out if it will be worth the money.
Thanks for the headsup on the other usergroup where I can maybe get a solution.
I did not know there was a usergroup active. All alesis stuff went basically dark it seemed to me.
This is great info thanks a lot.
I will try that too.
Is this the forum you are referring to ?

I know about quadedit, but I didnt try it as they say it is specifically for a GT, which I dont have or want.
The developer stopped development on it. I might have to continue it as I rely heavily on vintage Alesis.
Wine has become so unstable now that they moved to 64 bit that 32 and 16 bit apps just dont work nicely anymore.
I got a few of my devices to work under wine, and when it was all good, just one update to a newer version in the repo and it it all went to hell. The wine usergroup tried to help me with that, but the 64 bit jump is a real bad break for 16/32 bit applications.
I rather use Qemu than wine for controlling some of my legacy devices I have software for and it is reliable enough for patch backups etc..

Re: Alesis quadraverb
Interesting... I have an old Quadraverb (non-GT, not the 2) too, but I cannot edit it anymore since the LCD screen went bad. It would be useful to have an editor. Could maybe post it here if you find something that works?
