The old Emu 0404 PCI works well in Linux
The Emu 0404 PCIe model also works in Linux.

Slightly strange option: the Hercules DJ mixer mk2 works as 2 phono or 2 stereo line channel recording device. Hardly pro :D

Driver support is good and opensource, Ardour recognized the device immediately as a hacky 4 track recorder.

Focusrite Saffire pro 24 (firewire) works really fine ! (ubuntu studio -> has all jack etc included, good disto !)

i don't remember if i tested her coupled with the pre amp Octopre MkII Dynamic (in ADAT) but i see no reasons for not working fine 16in 8out !

I've been buying old firewire interfaces for the past few months and making mini reviews for fun. The FFADO list was outdated and now it's gone.

So far:
MOTU Traveler MKI
MOTU 828MKII
Phonic Firefly 202
M-Audio ProFire 2626
MBOX 2 Mini (usb)
Digidesign Digi 003R
Presonus FIRESTUDIO 26×26
Behringer FIREPOWER FCA 1616

ESI MAYA44 USB/USB+

Quite unusual, I thought, for a manufacturer to officially recognise Linux support, even though they don't offer troubleshooting advice.
ESI wrote:Can I use MAYA44 USB/USB+ under Linux?

Yes. MAYA44 USB and MAYA44 USB+ are supported by the current version of the ALSA driver package via the USB audio module. ALSA is part of most common Linux distributions. Please note that the driver has not been developed by us and there are many different Linux variants and possible system configurations, so we cannot provide technical support for this. Please refer to the common online forums and discussion groups regarding audio under Linux and ALSA.
From here. I hope we see more of this.

The links to the thread / list in the second post of this thread do not work anymore, so I can't check, whether this is already listed:

- Zoom R8 (digital recorder) - Works as 2-in/2-out audio interface at 44.1 or 48 kHz and as a MIDI controller without problems
- Zoom H2n (handheld / field recorder) also works as 2-in/2-out audio interface at 44.1 or 48 kHz or USB microphone

The zoom had issues with 44.1 kHz. Does it work for you?

Which one? But I almost always use both with 48 kHz.

I use the Zoom R8 in stand-alone mode at 44.1 kHz, because otherwise the built-in effects do not work, I believe. But that's not relevant for Linux, other than that I have to upsample the recorded WAV files for Ardour 48 kHz sessions.

Yes, the 002 and 003 are knackered. You get a nice audible pop in the the recording every few seconds because timestamp recovery does not work on the device.

It's in the does not work category on my list.

Aren't the FFADO drivers not supported in the kernel now?
