Korg Volca FM patch dumps

Hello all,
Not sure if this is the proper place for this question, but since it relates to musical hardware I figured I would give it a go. I have been trying to export a patch to my Korg Volca FM on AVLinux. I was able to get the Dexed plugin working properly, and apparently you can export patches from this to the Volca FM (using the instructions here: http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/news/arti ... ?id=129444), but I have had no luck. I was wondering if anyone could recommend other software for doing sysex dumps. I tried installing Simple Sysexxer (http://www.christeck.de/wp/products/simple-sysexxer/) but I was unsuccessful with both their binary and building from source.
Thanks!
-James

Please disregard--I ended up figuring out how to use amidi in order to send a sysex dump. It seems like the most reliable way to go about doing this, if anyone is interested.

Hi. Can you tell me how you managed to get amidi to send the sysex file to the volca fm? I tried but it has not worked.

Here is the command I am using:
$ amidi -p hw:1,0,0 -s DXOC30.SYX

hint:
when amidi does not work for you, sendmidi is your friend ;)

Thanks. I am working on this with my Raspberry Pi 3. Looking forward to watching the tutorial on YouTube.
