SPAM SWEEP

Post by nathan »

Took my lunch today and did my best clear out all the spam :) Keep those reports coming. Feel free to PM me as well (as a couple of you did) when we have an outbreak.

Right now we have a captcha and an anti-spam math question, and stuff is still getting through. I of course welcome any suggestions you might have on getting this stuff taken care of. From what I can tell though, forums are just spam-magnets in general. If you would like to be moderator, PM me and we'll talk :)

I posted on other topic today that newer versions of the forum-software probably are less vunaravel. This version seams very old. its like using an very old internet explorer, all "open doors" are well known.

An upgrade is definitely an option. I will be checking into that for sure.
