Hey All,
Came across the site when I was doing a search for info on the RT Kernel situation for Ubuntu 8.10. Was the one place I got all the info I needed actually.
Glad to see an online forum for linux musicians like this has sprouted up. I've been a troll on the sidelines of Linux audio/music production for some years, watching CCRMA's progress and trying various short-term Linux installs until finally doing the full-time plunge with Ubuntustudio since it came out. And it's been great. Mostly I compose in Rosegarden and do short recordings/sketches for composition in Audacity and Ardour with my setup (I've got an older Tascam US-122). Most of these tasks are directed towards musical projects which also tie in with live visuals/performance things (usibg Processing, Arduino, etc.) which happily play well with Linux also...
Also, I'm an Interactive Designer in my work-a-day life.
Cheers,
Jeff.

Toronto? You're not the same guy that went to the top of the CN tower and won the N800 from Lug Radio are you? Cuz that was awesome. Have you ever been to Casa Loma? Welcome to the board btw.

Hehe. No, I'm not the same CN Tower guy. Though I have been to Casa Loma - I live not far from there actually. Cheers, guys.

Did you know that they filmed the X-men III movie there? It was the school in the movie.
