Hello penguins
I started with Debian and not much later Ubuntu 6.06. was released and I switched over. So it should be around 15 years ago that I switched. I remember that just before switching I had bought a PCI Terratec sound interface that was not supported, yet, by the linux kernel. But there already was a patch and I was surprised how easy it was to download the linux source code, patch it and compile it. That was an amazing and empowering experience. I'm happy that I can work on my Linux notebook (currently on Manjaro Gnome edition) as a programmer and I feel very productive on it.
As for the music I have always struggled to just experiment, try and play. Always experiencing the gap between what I like and what I am able to create too intimidating rather than just see it as a compass I can follow or not.
So that's what I'm here for. Learn a bit, fiddle a bit, try stuff, participate in this forum - and hopefully discovering the fun

Maybe he's your evil twin? Wait -- which one of you has a goatee? That's usually a mark of the evil one in the case of twins.

Thanks Would love to be able to correctly attribute the image as I did not create it, but I can't find the original. I stumbled on it while googling for "tux guitar avatars". I'm pretty sure Tux has some face-melting licks up his tuxedo sleeves.
