Hi all,
i'm a 22 y.o. student of physics. I started using Ubuntu ~10 years ago, but moved to Debian as my main OS.
I play bass, guitar and a bit of drums mainly in Hard Rock/Heavy Metal and Alternative Bands. Recording was always one of my interests, though i started out with Cubase 7 on Windows. The transition to Linux recording happened ~3 years ago. I mainly record my own stuff, but i did some jobs for local bands.
I just now discovered this forum by accident. The linux community was always warm and welcoming so i'm looking forward to posting here.
Greetings from Germany

Hello and welcome! Physics student...perhaps a plugin developer in the making?

Hi,
the signature tells a little about the equipment in use. Reaper is stated, so this might be @JimiPb's DAW of choice?

Hi,
yes i'm working with Reaper. I used Ardour and Non Daw for a bit, but the drum replacement (and midi) is easier - at least for me - in Reaper. I use the Reaper standard plugins, drumgizmo and the dragonfly reverb. For projects without midi needs i like to use Ardour with the Calf plugins tho.
