Hi there! I'm Xenoslyce, and I've been creating music "professionally" since 2018, but I've been interested strongly in it since I was young.
I started creating music in 2019 on Linux, and it seems that every month my abilities grow and each day - the exponential learning phase, as I once read.
It slowed when I accidentally bricked my laptop in June, but I hope to fix it soon and get back to making music in October!
Anyways, I'm really excited to be joining this community of like-minded people!
Hello from Oregon!

Welcome and have fun in a world without phone-home licensing software and iLoks.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about your bricked laptop.
What do you mean by "professionally" in scare quotes? Are you pan-handling, or something?
Is your music online somewhere? I'd love to hear what you are recording.

Well, I've been messing around with loop apps ever since I was like 7 and I didn't really consider that to be music making.
I don't have any music online yet mainly because I haven't created anything worthy yet, but I'll post something soon hopefully!

Re: Hello from Oregon!
Hi @Xenoslyce! I had relatives in Tillamook when I was growing up. We had a tradition of visiting them each year and spending time at the Oregon coast. It's a lovely place. I hadn't been there for a couple of decades, but now my brother lives in Oregon and I recently took my family to go visit.
