Hello everybody!
I'm a new user from Germany. I'm more of a non-computer musician, I play the banjo (3-finger style) and used to play guitar (acoustic and electric) in my youth. In addition I have been a linux user since something like 1996/97 (I think my first kernel was 2.0.21) but for some reason it never occured to me to put linux and music together for a long time. I first started using a nice slow-downer software, lilypond and Musescore for transcribing recordings for my own personal use, then I installed audacity in order to cut songs from our bluegrass jams that I record with a Zoom H5 and now here I am with some problem I can't seem to figure out on my own. I will look around the board some more to find the right category for my first question...

You started in 1997? Welcome home, grond!
