Yo!

Post by loxstep »

Been making music with free software since 2008. I'm the only person in my circle of friends who uses Linux, so I'm eager to find others to talk to. Looking forward to exchanging tips and helping newbies get acquainted with Linux audio. Nice meting you all!

Sounds like the right setup!
Anyway, welcome!

That's the best kind. Let us hear some of it! Don't be too nervous to share, we're a mix of people with wildly different styles and skills, from complete noobs to some people who have been doing this for years.

Just curious, what mics and interface are you using? I'm using Scarlett 2i4 and a behringer xm8500 (super cheap mic, but it's fine for what I'm doing).

I use an alesis io4 or sometimes just my zoom h4 in interface mode. I have a variety of condenser and dynamic mics. One set is from samson (I got a deal). A few were found at garage sales. A friend has a Scarlett 18i20 and some sure mics, and he lets me borrow them if required.

I'm sure I'll post some music here at some point.

Nice meeting you.
