Hello everybody,
I didn't plan to introduce myself here, because I thought you might get to know me trough all my future problems and sharing of future knowledge.
Now I feel the need anyway:
You can call me Cousticus. I love acoustic music.
I'm studying music in education in germany, I've been using KxStudio since a few years and basically I'm a guitarist and singer.
I really hope to find some good advices and a nice community here, because -even though I really love playing and working with Linux- it often happens to be a real pain getting solutions, when you're not very experienced working with a terminal (or shell).
So there is this first question:
How do I state my problems clearer?
I've tried to post in two threads, where I thought my problem is similar.
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16853&hilit=firefox&start=30#p84907
and
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=16861&p=85148&hilit=html5#p85367
but nobody replied. What am I missing?
Or is this just the normal time that it takes?
I'm looking forward to any replies
whether it's a friendly welcome or any advice.
Thank you
Cousticus

Hi, and welcome.
I doubt you're doing anything wrong, but sometimes posts get overlooked, or there is nobody using the same setup logging in for a while.
Personally, I can't help you with either of those.

Re: Music student saying "Hello"
Welcome Cousticous!
Linux audio is a niche of a niche. Perhaps only 1% of computer users use a Linux desktop, and then a very small percentage of those people are actively trying to make music. Even fewer stick with it (some people show up here, get frustrated, and go back to Mac/Windows). So it's a small group.
Be patient and you will be rewarded. Sometimes there is no solution (like your Firefox post), but there will usually be a workaround.
