Hi There,
I'm glad I've found this community, lovely folks around. I had a history with linux but I quit like 15 years ago during the KDE vs Gnome sacred war However I've been thinking moving back slowly. I'm not a pro musician but quite obsessed with the bass - kind of love at first sight.
I use my current setup for quick and dirty recordings to share ideas with my fellow bandmates.
My toys are:
Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, TC Electronic RH450 head, EZDrummer, Amplitube bass amps, Reaper with stock EQ and compressor (keep it simple)
I downloaded KXStudio and Ubuntu Studio yesterday and will start to mess around on vmware. If you have any suggestion, tips, tricks how to find software alternatives for the low-end that would be appreciated.
Also if you need a bass player for remote studio recording - just let me know, I'll be glad to help.
Cheers

Re: Bass player here
As an EDM producer I too am a lover of bass (frequencies).
