i just registered here, so, here's a little about myself..
my name is tor-helge skei, i'm 43 years old, lives in trondheim, norway, and spend most of my days making music and programming audio related stuff
.. i have been making music on and with computers since 1986-7 or so.. started on a dragon 32 computer, and 'upgraded' to a pc in 1992-93 or around there.. initially i used trackers, like fasttracker and impulse tracker, but then, after some years i started using 'real' sequencers.. and have more or less stayed with them since then.. i have been releasing music 'officially' since 1993, and have lost count on how many albums i have participated on :-/ but i made most of the music on at least 10 albums now (released internationally on various labels), with bands/projects like: manes, manii, kkoagulaa, lethe, among other things.. i have used a bunch of os'es.. dos, desqview (ran a nightly bbs on that), windows (from 3.1 and upwards), os/2 warp, linux (for 7-8 years now, i think).. also, i have done a lot of programming on most of these, in various languages.. assembler (6809e/80x86), basic, forth, c, c++, pascal, and lately i've been trying to learn a little javascript, lua, php, etc.. my current programming project is 'kode.cpp' (i also have kode.pas and kode.js), my cross-platform, cross-format, c++ plugin framework/library and a bunch of plugins made with it.. i will release it quite soon, but need a little bit of time to cleanup and do some tweaks to it first.. also, i do some experiments and stuff with my arduino and raspberry pi.. ok, enough for now.. i'm not an author, so i don't feel comfortable writing much.. instead, if there's anything, just ask (and i'm not a fan of uppercase letters, as you can see, hehe)
