Hi,
I have been gradually building an audio and music software repo for Centos / RHEL / SL 6.x as Centos/SL are my favourite distros due to their very long term support (6.x is supported until 2020!) which provides a stable platform for actually using the PC rather than constantly fiddling with upgrades.
My repo is accessible publically here:
http://pkgrepo.linuxtech.net/el6/
It currently has a decent selection of Audio/Music related software such as Rosegarden, Muse, Qtractor, MHwavedit along with several low level packages such as jack related tools, drivers/firmware for the Midisport USB MIDI interfaces and ALSA tools and firmware for high-end audio cards (but I'm still missing a few important packages such as Ardour and Audacity).
When it comes to actually making music I'm far less prolific and less skilled though.
Hi from a packager and aspiring Linux hobby-musician
