Hey, this is a website i have been working on. Its 20 days old. But i am using it for the artist pages on autumnstreetrecords.com if you want to see how it works.
Edit: it looks best on phones. I designed it on an android phone with 920 text editor.

Re: Minimal Music Site
So I have done a lot of updates on this project since I started it. It now has many more options. I have also tried to get around security for it and it has been pretty alright. No major security issues. But I have defined robots (can be easily ignored) and .htaccess along with server security. Anyway, new features.
*SMS forwarding for comments (via text message - only tested in United States)
*Adding links (social media and anything else)
*Changing your page names
*Modding the style sheets
*Uploading custom fonts
*Using Google font code
*Adding meta themes (to colorize browser)
*Using HTML to embed youtube, links, change font, etc etc in the blog
And some other stuff. Check it out if you are interested. I've yet to get any feedback on sourceforge. I'm about to make a function for email notification when a new video, photo, song, or blog post is made on the page. But I am still testing to make sure that emails will not be publically available/accessable.

Re: Minimal Music Site
For some reason it's listing the latest release as being the previous release. But if you go to files the newest release is there.

Re: Minimal Music Site
Hey thanks. Hopefully The next release I will have better support for desktops complete. Right now its a mobile targeted option. But I am working on new features like adding custom pages with editor. And of course css for desktops. It just looks too small on high res screens.

Re: Minimal Music Site
I am working on an update for setting video upload display sizes along with some other minor interface changes. Should be available soon. It will make video posts scalable depending on resolution.

Re: Minimal Music Site
Hey guys, I have a new version available. If anyone is interested in the project. I have one user submitted theme I will add to the sourceforge themes page soon as well as a new theme developing package. I am looking for theme developers right now. And this project can be installed on any apache/nginx with php installed. Also runs great on android servers as well as virtual machines etc. I am looking into an offline self containerized theme developer solution at the moment for those who wish to develop themes to contribute or sell. Anyway check it out if you are interested.

Re: Minimal Music Site
Looks quite smart... and what a pleasant surprise to see a site that loads almost instantly!

Re: Minimal Music Site
Yeah, I had to remove all the obsolete code and replace with css. And there are some images but theyre small sizes. So the load time is mostly optimized for mobile.folderol wrote:Looks quite smart... and what a pleasant surprise to see a site that loads almost instantly!

Re: Minimal Music Site
So I think as far as functionality the project is good but I really want users or css developers to be able to contribute. I made a development package for the project and it is now available on the page. If anyone would be interested in helping with themes. Also, I would be willing to purchase themes for my own project if someone made some good ones and sold them.
http://minimalmusicsite.org/pg3.php
The theme development package is listed at the bottom of the page.

Re: Minimal Music Site
For anyone who has been following my project there is a new update available. Also, I have no sourceforge reviews if anyone would be interested in writing one. I will re-post your review on the main project website.

Re: Minimal Music Site
Every so many weeks I forget what this thread is about and open it with a vague expectation of finding a collection of Minimal Music ..
But hey, the project deserves praise, and since I suffer chronic pennylessness, the day may come when I try my luck as a theme designer.

Re: Minimal Music Site
I have updates planned for this but may be next year before they are done. I have about 14 minor updates and 20 major updates.

Re: Minimal Music Site
Hey people. If anyone is interested in testing the new version of my project let me know. I just need testing for upgrading, fresh install and text browser testing. Nothing interesting mostly tideous. email me at mattkingusa@minimalmusicsite .org if interested. I plan to release new version and upgrade for live installs within a week.
EDIT: I have not had any testers but I wasnt able to find any issues. I did find two errors in the theme template in my v3 of the theme kit so I released a new version, v4, with fixes. I am thinking I will release the new version and upgrade maybe today.
