Guitars, Mics,Amps AKA Your Gear

We need a section on what gear people are using to make their music. A friend of mine suggested this to me. He is new to the linux desktop and to recording on linux but he isn't new to having a ton of instruments and would like a section to discuss with other linux musicians.

Yeah, but I am thinking we need something for instruments. Unless Guitars and Flutes and stuff are considered hardware. I guess that could work. But it would get kind of confussing. My friend is kind of wanting to get more involved but he's not too knowledgable in the software area. But he will be using linux to record.

I think this could easily be under "off topic" for the forum.
