I think html is disabled because of the porn bots that kept posting photos. I guess you can't post something like that with bbcode. Yeah, html would have to be allowed.

Maybe another option to enabling html on the forum is to create the topic and then edit it the html code of that post. I think that would be the best option, rather than have to mess with spammers haveing html available. That could be well annoying.

Yeah, I think what I will do is try to upgrade the forum in the next 10 days or so, to phpBB3. Then I will check into some chatbox mods. I just don't want to spend time modding phpBB2 when we're planning to upgrade soon.

yes, I think a linuxmusicians chatbox will be good, an channel (#linuxmusicians) on freenode and the possibility for an intern chat (with good software!)?

I think that having chat would be great and from benefit to all of us .We would be able to connect with each other better and exchange thoughts on subjects in real time.

@NAthan and Matt, could you look if it's possilbe to get that internal with mibbit, if that's handy?

I can look into it. My #1 priority right now is checking out some better spam prevention tools, but I will definitely check into chat options as well. Sounds like tons of fun!

As a quick start, we could add a link to http://embed.mibbit.com/?server=irc.fre ... xmusicians (or http://embed.mibbit.com/?server=irc.fre ... nel=%23lau ) as a tab next to 'donate to lm' at the top of the page.

(personally, I don't quite see why we'd want another channel instead of teaming up with #lau , but anyway )
