Recent posts search shortcut

I'm missing a way to just display all threads that had posts in the last 24h or 48h or 7 days.

None of "View unanswered posts", "View unread posts", "View new posts", "View active topics" shortcuts that are present on the main page seem to be satisfactory to the way I normally use forums.

Especially the "View active topics" results (which should be just what I'm looking for) do not make sense to me, it doesn't seem to list all threads that had posts recently, I'm not sure what logic it follows.

As an example, on the Mageia Linux forum (that also uses phpbb) if I do the "View active topics" I really get by default all threads that had posts in the last 7 days, while here on LM I only currently get 2 threads (for example this thread and many others that were active in the last day or so don't appear on it):

So is there any way to simply display all threads (regardless if I read them already or not) that had posts in the last 1/2/7 days?

It looks like the 'If set to yes topics made to this forum will be shown in the active topics list' option is not enabled for all forums.

Seems like something we want to enable everywhere. Not sure if it can be set in bulk though :S.

Thanks, that looks already much better but there are still many subforums missing.
At least the following sub forums are missing as they all had posts in the last 7 days that don't show up in the recent posts search:
