Any LADSPA or VU modeling plugs out there?

Post by slider »

I'm pretty new to investigating open source DAW stuff. I'm sure there is a lot more than what I've seen. I've used (in MS Windows) and been pretty pleased with some of IK's vst models of vintage compressors, eq, pre amps, mastering suites, etc. I've yet to try but doubt if they would run in Linux partly because of the authorization issues. Are there much of these types of plugs available in open source LADSPA and VU? Mostly what I've seen are generic looking delays, verbs, eqs, etc. which are widely acclaimed as being very useable but I'm wondering if much development has been or is being done on modeling specific hardware in LADSPA or AU.

Hi

Well, we try to modelling guitar amps in our project, (but not as (LADSPA, LV2) Plug-in (for now)), but as Jack plug-in, eg. stand alone amp.

we try to model different tube and amp models, tone-stacks and cabinets
