I'm running the disk cleaner Bleachbit and it wanted to remove ardour's .bak files.
Is that ok?
IMHO, they're safe to remove. But my advice is worth exactly what you pay for it. Not sure what you'd gain, though. The files are puny. You'd save much more space doing the wav cleanup from within Ardour.

FYI, http://www.out-of-order.ca/tutorials/ardour looks to be gone. It's a shame because they had some good info.

I mirrored the google cache at http://arnout.engelen.eu/files/dev/linu ... orial.html - unfortunately it lacks the pictures.

If anyone could drop the author a note, he could put them back up or I could put up a more compiete mirror if that's be any good.

thanx guys... the files are small but the Bleachit app cleans up for free space and with the .bak included, It's gets me 5 extra GBs of space.
I could use that as I'm buy a new pc in the next few months but would like to keep dropping my ideas on disk.
