Hydrogen offbeat

Post by Chipfryer »

Folks I am having so much fun with Hydrogen its incredible being a drummer.
I know now that I can create a sequence and then click for measures etc. This is wonderful, now that is simple stuff a kid could follow.

Anyway is questions is this............

When I click pointer and add a beat it naturally follows the notation rule. Is there anyway to turn this snapping off so I can add counter/off beats please?

Or is there a way to increase the bars in a clip so that I can add these offbeats please?

Many thanks.

Anyone? I don't want the instrument snapping to the grid. I've looked everywhere about this but only get stupid sites about Hyrdrogen fuel.

I see in the demo's its possible to have a beat not snapped to a grid line.

Version # 0.9.3

Thanks.

If I understand you right then you need to increase the resolution value ( it just says "res" here ) in the bar above the pattern editor - i.e. increase it.

Ok I found it.
Under resolution you can set it to 'OFF'.
You can edit your midi notes and position only by switching it to the 'off' once more.

Hope this helps anyone with a similar question.
Best.
