Hey guys!
New LMMS is out, but I have a version from git. Should I uninstall it before installing the new stable version or can I just install over it? If I have to remove first - can anyone tell me how?

Re: Installing new LMMS
You compiled it yourself? If so, then LMMS probably installed in /usr/local and you should delete the LMMS related files from there. I wouldn't just install the new version.
You can check which files are related to LMMS by downloading the 0.4.6 deb and opening it with Archive Manager. Or do you still have the directory in which you compiled the git version?

Re: Installing new LMMS
I have one lmms (executable, I think) file in usr/local/bin.
I couldn't find a git directory of lmms. Maybe it's there but I dunno where. Not in the home folder, certainly. I think I might've deleted it.

Yeah and I found others in usr/local/lib and so on. Should I just mechanically remove all of the lmms files and that's it?

Yes I think so, did you also check /usr/local/share/lmms ?
Just remove them and then install the deb.

No complete tracks yet, man! As soon as something is done, I will post here! But new LMMS feel confident and stable.
