QTracktor stuck in omni

Post by OccinticLady »

Hi all,
Here is a rundown of the situation:
- old laptop : QTracktor 0.9.5 - QJackCTL 0.5.0
- new laptop : QTracktor 0.9.18 - QJackCTL 0.6.3
on the lod laptop, MIDI instuments set to a specific channel are listened to, the other channels are ignoreg by the track. Also, the track plays back on the proper channel
on the new one, all the tracks (even though set to one channel) listen of all the MIDI channels and send to all the MIDI channels
I see three options:
- a setting I miss (for which I seek help here)
- downgrade to the old versioon (0.9.5, the .deb is available)
- swap laptops (extreme, yet a quick fix. But...I dont learn anything new)
Of course, it could be that I have yet to grasp the new connection screen in the new QJackCTL...
Please meditate with me, thanks for helping if you can...
Hugs
Melissa

Possible solution: QTracktor seems to combine channels that are focussed. Unfocussing (clicking outside the track lane) restores the situation...somehow...
Feature? Bug? Oddity? :?

(un)check Track > Auto Monitor : when on, the current high-lighted track filters and converts all MIDI input to the track's MIDI channel; useful for live-playing and recording from one and only MIDI keyboard/controller at a time.

ps. and please, it's Qtractor, without a "k" ;)
