Ardour Export

Post by kafka »

Hi!

I'm having some trouble to get exported the music I record on Ardour.

Thing is that when I play the records on Ardour, they sound awesome. All nice and clean.

But when I export, the pitch and tempo goes down a bit, and it sounds like 3 tones lower.

I have tried to change the sample rate to many settings raging bull casino bonus code casinobonus-ca.com/raging-bull-casino-bonus configuration, and it didn't worked.

I would be glad if someone can help me with this one. Did a lot of records but none was exported cause I can't find the way to get it right.

Hope you can help me!!

Best wishes.

I'm not sure if I can help you get rid of the problem, but I've had problems with the exporting function in Ardour myself. The exported sound file sounds just fine to me, but after the exporting process is finished, the sample rate of my entire system changes (resulting in things sounding several semitones lower and considerably slower). This is probably due to the fact that my PCIe card is synced via ADAT to an external digital device. Bitwig, for example, doesn't exhibit the same problem when exporting audio.

Have you connected digitally (USB, ADAT, SPDIF etc.) your audio interface to an external device (like a digital mixer or an FX unit)?

Take a look at the sample rates in alsamixer before and after the export. Are there any changes with any of the values before and after exporting?

Different sample rates could easily be the problem. Are you working in 44.1KHz and exporting to 48KHz?
I'm slow, but I get there eventually.

I finaly got Ardour 5 to work in linux Mint

After updating the terminal and the software
In the software centre
Install synaptic package manager
Then in synaptic ,
install - ubuntu studio audio plugins packages
Then - low latency
Then - install qjackctl
Then - Ardour 5

Close synaptic

Open your web browse
download and install an amp sims( tonelib gfx , Amplitube , etc )
Open jack / tonelib / Ardour
In that order
Make conections in qjack
System to juce
Juce to Ardour
Ardour to system

Go to Ardour

Right click on the recording track
Set input/output
Adjust volumes

After recording , open the mixer
Listen to your recording and adjust the volume of your track just before exporting !

When you click export
track to audio , you will get a rectangular box enabling you to name your track , where to export , etc . There are 3 tabs at the top , click the tab to the right and make shure your exporting your recorded track , or your exported track wont have any sound !

And voilla , I just saved your keyboard
Heres what it sounds like
Dont be shy to leave me a tip , I need new pics !
