Problems with bitwig grid on manjaro

Post by TheYke »

Hi there,
just testing bitwig on manjaro from AUR (I'm an old Ableton-User). I like it, it seems to work.
However when adding a grid no modules show up until I type someting into the search bar, and then, they pop up but all seem to be called/named "invalid" although they work all as expected. It's quite hard to work with it like that if all modules are called the same ^^

Anybody using bitwig on manjaro or arch here? And: any tips?
Really don't want to switch distro just to test an app, if possible. Especially if it is such a minor (but rather annoying) problem

FYI: switched now to Debian stable, there it works. Seems like something is wrong with the AUR package.

Being armed with several distros is lucky, and not difficult to maintain.
Using just one put's you at the mercy of unknown future troubles.
Same with daws apps. I can get something done in several, if I mess something up
where my first choice is, and different tasks may invite different first choices
based on daw features, and compatabilities, that hopefully expand regularly.

That Bitwig Grid is something I should work some overtime to obtain!
Glad it' s working at least somewhere for you.
Cheers
