Restore Ardour session to its original state

Post by Rodney »

Hi everyone,

I googled but I couldn't find anyone asking about this. I was working on a session then I decided to "save as" so I could keep the original ardour session in its original state but for some reason (probably a bug) it also changed the original :? . Is there a way I can restore the ardour session to its original state? That would be great.

Thanks a lot

Cheers,

Rodney

You might have better luck with the Ardour forum... But you are sure you did a "Save As" and not a snapshot, right?

For future reference, that perhaps would have been a better idea, as you can revert to previous snapshots easily.

Yes, you are right, I should have done that. But anyway, thanks for the tip, I'll go to the Ardour forum since I "saved as".

Thanks a lot

I think ardour keeps a .bak version of the project so you could try renaming that and opening it. I would backup the whole project folder first though.
