Hello,
The subject line says it all. If there's another way to slave LMMS and ReBirth to something, i'd love to know.

Currently lmms doesn't sync to anything. There is some work going on on making it jack sync aware but that won't make it in 1.2 afaik.
You can grap the 1.2 rc from the lmms website, it's a lot better than the "stable" version and there are only a few bugs to iron out.
It's estimated it will go stable in the next coming months.
My guess is that jack transport will come to the 1.3 betas.
Rebirth : according to the manual it should sync to midi clock but as slave only.

In my experience, wine + midi does work but it's a bit fiddly to connect the right ports The wine midi ports are alsa ports. Apps like patchage should help.
If you you use Catia, enable experimental settings to show alsa ports.
