QmidiCtl is now available for Android

Post by xaccrocheur »

The totally indispensable DAW Remote (transport & by-track volume, rec, mute & solo) that made the Nokia N900 days so sweet is now available for Android, the now mandatory lower class phone OS!

1- Install QmidiNet on your DAW machine
2- Install QmidiCtl on your crappy disposable & sandboxed personal tracker / phone
3- launch QmidiNet (you'll just see a tray icon)
4- Connect the MIDI output of QmidiNet to the right input of your DAW :

For Qtractor, connect the QmidiNet output to Qtractor's input in the ALSA tab
For Ardour, connect the QmidiNet output to Ardour's "MTC in" input in the MIDI tab

Look Ma, no keyboard! Very handy for instrument takes under the headphones, encabled away from the desk.

Because they aren't there.
Being creative does not imply being lazy, stupid, or illiterate.

Working in Harrison Mixbus and Ardour on KDE Neon + KXStudio.
