I found the controls, but they're just greyed out. Anyway, it shouldn't matter because I can play the transport in Catia, and it doesn't make the audio or MIDI in Carla do anything.ssj71 wrote: Carla has transport controls. Find them and click the play button. You can also select it in the menu IIRC. Its possible this feature got removed/broken in the last release of carla.

Seems quirky but sorta works. No drag and drop as far as I can tell. I had to go through some clunky menus to connect to a synth, doesn't seem to show at all in Catia… but it seems close in other ways. Not quite ideal though.milk wrote:… seq64…

I see nothing like that in the seq24 options. There's just stuff about Live vs Song mode and about whether to use Jack transport etc.milk wrote:select native JACK in the options and restart

i'm referring to seq64, the actively maintained fork of seq24. possibly your distro doesn't package seq64? or was that a slip of the finger? the Native JACK MIDI option is visible in figure 20 on page 33 of the seq64 manual.wolftune wrote:I see nothing like that in the seq24 options.

OH OH OH, I didn't know that existed!milk wrote:i'm referring to seq64, the actively maintained fork of seq24. possibly your distro doesn't package seq64? or was that a slip of the finger? the Native JACK MIDI option is visible in figure 20 on page 33 of the seq64 manual.wolftune wrote:I see nothing like that in the seq24 options.
Incidentally, there's a seq64 that isn't what you mean: https://github.com/sauraen/seq64/
And you seem to be talking about https://github.com/ahlstromcj/sequencer64
I added a KXStudio packaging request: https://github.com/KXStudio/Repository/issues/165
Anyway, sooner or later, I'll check this out. It seems promising, really happy to learn that this exists! Thanks!
