I'm not sure what you mean.
S/PDIF input works fine on my card when I set 'Master Clock' to 'S/PDIF IN'.

What's the source you are trying to record from?
Maybe the problem is with your digital audio source?

Yes, it halts the audio. I have tried it with a couple of known working devices. Switching the Master Clock to S/pdif gives warning of no sync or wordclock at the Envy control panel. Even without a correct sync, it should pass incoming audio, a bit more jittery perhaps.

I think we are beating a dead horse here, it might be faulty card too.
