Audacity 2.1.2-3 (Arch Linux): Recovery Won't Go Away

Post by GraysonPeddie »

I finished with making music in Mixbus, so I exported to WAV file to be opened up in Audacity. From there, I exported the song to FLAC and it lead to crash (segmentation fault) and I forgot to copy the output from the terminal and from the error message.

I opened up Audacity and I get this:

Since double-clicking did not work, what am I to do if there's no way to exit out of this without doing a killall?

The last time that happened to me I had to use the tab and guess which was the right button to close it.

Even though the buttons that ask recover from Project or dismiss project or cancel we're not visible just like you're showing using the Tab Key got me to that point.

HA!!! Thanks a lot! Is it the problem with GNOME environment or just Audacity?

I think Audacity and arch. I use Openbox or Lxqt and it happens.

Well that makes sense. Thanks.

Update: Okay. I got an error:

Code: Select all

./src/common/wincmn.cpp(478): assert "GetEventHandler() == this" failed in ~wxWindowBase(): any pushed event handlers must have been removed
I can only reproduce once when exporting to FLAC, though.

Looks like a bug in Audacity? Maybe some problem with wxWidgets version. Probably worth to file a bug report.
