Hello,
I want to record some midi from Hydrogen to a DAW (Ardour or Qtractor).
The problem:
When recording in the DAW the midi notes are not as quantised as in the source from Hydrogen. They sometimes have longer durations.
In comparison, the midi file exported from hydrogen and imported in the DAW has notes with the right durations.
Here a screenshot from Ardour.
Top: recoded midi notes
Bottom: imported midi files
Here a screenshot from Qtractor.
Top: imported midi files
Bottom: recoded midi notes
Since it appears also when recoding midi from Lmms, but not midi coming from hardware sequencer I suspect there must be a global setting which I am missing.
I would appreciate your help.
thanks.

That means only one thing: Hydrogen realizes invalid realtime MIDI protocol.

I suppose, yes. First of all, Hydrogen developers should watch this issue.mendo wrote:This means a bug?sadko4u wrote:That means only one thing: Hydrogen realizes invalid realtime MIDI protocol.

I tried the same thing once and found the the note on and off messages overlap, messing everything up.
Exporting to a midi file is another thing apparently.
