Redownloading Harrison Mixbus license
Is there any way to redownload the license file for Harrison Mixbus? I forgot to backup the license and I screwed up in the terminal with an rm command without being cautious and extundelete cannot find the file.
When I try to download the file, I get:
license_key_harrison_mixbus3.txt (Not Available)
I hope I'm not the only one who accidentally use the rm command. (sigh)

Don't you think that this question is better placed to
mixbus@harrisonconsoles.com
mixbus@harrisonconsoles.com
No iLok, passwords to remember, or online activations. Just save the provided file to your computer, and you are done. Lost your license file in a hard-drive crash? Just email Harrison a request, and they will send you everything you need.
On the road again.

I prefer the look of Mixbus mixer compared to Ardour, along with built-in compressors and EQs.

Re: Redownloading Harrison Mixbus license
Interesting. So Mixbus adds a tape saturation effect on every channel, compression with gain-reduction meter, a 3-band PEQ + highpass filter, K-14 loudness meter, and stereo correlation meter. Sounds like that would save a lot of time on bigger projects. I'm only working with 2 to 8 tracks in Qtractor, Calf 5-band PEQ plugin (which is overkill) on a few channels, and EQ+comp+limiter on master out. I'll try the Calf tape sat plugin, but even if it sounds as good as Mixbus I can see it becoming unmanageable when used on every channel. I hate plugin windows.GraysonPeddie wrote:I prefer the look of Mixbus mixer compared to Ardour, along with built-in compressors and EQs.

Re: Redownloading Harrison Mixbus license
Yeah, I can copy Calf Saturator to all tracks in Qtractor, with a Saturation slider in each mixer strip ("Direct Access", only 1 param per plugin). That's surprisingly easy. I don't see a good way to set up per-channel EQ though. In Ardour you can map EQ sliders to the mixer strip but they'll all look too alike.

I think the phpbb upgrade broke Edit Post. Last time I used it I ended up with 3 versions of my post

Re: Redownloading Harrison Mixbus license
Ive been using Mixbus more often for final mixes. I like having the basic dynamics processors and EQ configured and ready for use, per channel.
And the sound is simply fabulous.
Best,
