Ardour rhythm ferret

Post by paul »

Hello. I've just discovered the "rhythm ferret" feature in Ardour, and I really like it. The problem is that, even if my computer is quite fast, when I split my drum track into the individual beats it takes ages to perform any operation (whether on that track, or anywhere else)! There is probably something that gets iterated all the time, and if the regions are so many, it takes a lot of time.

Is there anything I can do to make it faster? Maybe disable something in the settings? I love the feature, but it's really upsetting my workflow.

Thanks!
Keep on rocking in the free world!

you may want to ask on the ardour.org forums. Maybe someone here knows, but I sure don't.
