Editing in Hydrogen

Post by Impostor »

Am I missing the obvious or is editing in Hydrogen really such a pain?

I'd like to delete a block of patterns in the middle of my song, and shift the entire last part of the song to the left. But it seems I have to redraw every single block in the arranger instead?

Also, I'd like a way to better distinguish the positions of bars in the arranger, say an alternating shade for every set of four columns/bars. Is there maybe a custom theme for this?

I'm using Hydrogen version 1.0.0-rc1

Aha, I found the 'select mode' button! Makes things a bit easier :)
I was missing the obvious, obviously. RTFM indeed.

The question about shading columns still stands though.

Thanks a lot :D

I had overlooked that little button for over a year. Did all editing and moving square by square :)

Hey, thanks for answering your question! ;) I have also always done it block by block, which was not at all fun. This will be so much less tedious and prone to error.
