Re: MusE 4.2 released

I've been quiet for several days to pause for release. Does it mean all the bugs that were still present a week ago are fixed? No. But yeah, it was definitely time for a release, for example to help the packagers out there. I am happy it is now in much better shape than last release. I hope users c...

Re: Enhanced fork of Rosegarden released

I STRONGLY disagree with removing the audio code :( I don't record audio with Rosegarden but I do frequently import an audio file and compose MIDI alongside it. Particularly when collaborating with other musicians. Also, Why are you forking it? I've always found the devs very amenable to suggestion...

Re: Enhanced fork of Rosegarden released

Thanks, very nice! I am a packager on openSUSE and would like to package it (if you intend to maintain this in the future), but I find the current name confusing. Could you please give it a different, distinctive name (I don't know, like "Roseyard", "Rosepark")? Wow! Thanks, @Ba...

Re: DecentSampler sound combo

There's also orchestral swells, by the Northern Film Orchestra. Worth a look.

In the meantime, does anyone know if it works with Wine/yabridge?

I don't have Wine installed so I haven't tried it in the present.

Re: synful orchestra

Yep, i was a Synful user way back when, and i have to say it was sufficient at the time to complete some projects. (for cash) I had a lot of sample libs, (and still do, obviously), however i got a lot work done quickly using Synful, because it was just that, simple and quick to work with. As a plugi...

synful orchestra

Way back in 2004, Erik Lindemann, a seasoned sample machine designer, introduced a plugin called Synful Orchestra. You can read more about Erik and Synful here. https://www.synful.com/about Update to the present, and Erik has made Synful opensource. Currently for Mac and Windows formats, including V...

Re: docking the mixer(s)

Which version is that? I have muse4 installed (from AVL-MXDE repo), and there's no entries on the editor tab for docking anything. EDIT: ok, i've D/L and opened the latest appimage, and i can see the entries now. A quick restart and the mixer is docked. I'm running latest master. I guess a new main...

docking the mixer(s)

This seems like a dumb question to ask, but can the mixers be docked?

Re: Sofia Woodwinds

Thanks Alex, I'm glad you like the sound of them. I think the clarinets are particularly good. The brass is complete, has been for about a year (actually there is a bug I need to fix, but it's 99.9% ready). I'm reluctant to release it though because of the poor sales of Sofia Woodwinds and I'm not ...

Re: Sofia Woodwinds

Hi Alex, Well I'm biased but I think it's a good library :) Actually I was going to take it off sale and rework it because it hasn't been a big seller for me and in the years since I released it I've made some huge improvements in my legato systems and other areas. If you don't mind a proprietary s...

Is anyone using this plugin, and if so, what's your opinion of it? The demos sound decent and warmly organic. It mentions being able to run on Linux.
