you can try surplusbhilmers wrote:Does KX have a sample browser? Seems like LMMS is the only app that let's you easily preview samples. A standalone browser would be nice.

Re: Mixxx 1.12 beta
you can use the passthrough to play vinyl through mixxx. by extension you could probably route a JACK session through mixxx so you can mix between a DJ set and a JACK session. mixxx doesn't act as a timebase master and therefore can't e.g. play/pause or adjust tempo (though how cool would that be if...

thanks for that overview, fundamental. It'd be interesting to hear what any yoshimi people have to say about it too, though I'm unaware of any such devs who frequent LM.

keep zita-j2a in sync
i'm using a cheap usb soundcard with zita-j2a to provide additional outputs, but i keep getting the error message "Detected excessive timing errors, waiting 15 seconds" accompanied by 15 seconds of silence on the soundcard. according to the manual zita-j2a says: zita-j2a will optionally pr...

Re: Yoshimi and midi
can someone explain the differences between yoshimi and zyn? iirc a few years ago yoshimi made sense since zyn wasn't actively maintained but now zyn is being worked on so why is yoshimi still a separate fork?

Re: Affordable interface, 96khz sample rate, ALSA
this is correct but i'm not quite sure exactly how it works either. I remember that I couldn't select 96kHz using alsamixer though I could set it for jack, that mightve been my misunderstanding though.thesilenceindustry wrote: Forgive my ignorance but I was under the impression that jack works on top of ALSA

Re: [ANN] [UPDATE] Vee One Suite 0.6.3 - A sixth beta releas
I'm not trying to automate anything (though it's a shame that you can't); you actually can, but only applies to the *current* selected sample element though, which is not really convenient i know. that's why i rather say that NONE are elligigle to be *idempotentally* automate-able as usual (as in t...
