Re: It's been a long time coming, some metal

Really cool stoner metal tone. I like this mix, so I don't have too many comments. My only nitpick is that the kick sounds like something you'd hear more in modern metalcore than stoner metal (the punchy, scooped mids with lots of high end). Not a bad thing to mix and match tropes though. Overall, ...

Re: It's been a long time coming, some metal

Thanks folks for the kind words :) Och jag tycker om att höra den svenska texten på vad som är för mig dialekt! Borde göra en hårdsynt-låt på svenska! :D (Sorry people for the Swedish comment! :) ) Jag har varit på ett korståg sen många år att göra musik på svenska med dialekt, det tycker jag absolu...

It's been a long time coming, some metal

Hi folks, There are many opinions to be had about the last few years, suffice to say the last year has not been that good for my music productivity. I have always wanted to make more detuned metal but the crux is getting to the finish line. Not sure when I started this piece, could be coming up on a...

Re: Install more lugins

Next time you start MusE you will have the pljugin available. Probably not information you are looking for but I will add this for completeness: In some odd cases the plugins may be installed under a path that MusE does not monitor for plugins, or that you prefer having them at a specific place. In...

Re: How do I visualise multiple tracks in a single plugin ?

Hi folks and happy new year! In the plugin rack MusE only supports mono and stereo plugins, in which case it would not be possible to visualize more than one stereo pair. However some plugins can be loaded directly in the arranger using the "Synth..." dialog when right clicking in the trac...

Re: Lars Domino - Ingenting (Christmas album 2021)

It's easy to envision the hard life of Lars Domino. I really like the Tom Waits-like looseness of all these recordings. In this one I especially liked the use of a Toy piano, with all it's inadequacies. Regarding the recorder and being out of tune, mostly I think fits right into the atmosphere, the ...

Re: Staffan Melin - Merry Christmas(s) [neoclassical]

Really nice, thanks for this Christmas special. It reminded me of an anime my son wanted me to watch. Legend of the Galactic Heroes, from the 90ies. I think it's the war art together with the quite sad classical music that reminded me. Regarding faking, please don't think along those lines. As someo...

Re: Lightweight synth

I compared some synths and found that most cpu fridendly is Helm and that Surge is better than Vital and equal to simpler u-he Podolski. ... Cool test! Let me add though that the CPU usage in many synths is very dependent on what features a specific preset uses so comparing synths is complicated. A...

Re: What is the cause of a gray triangle in Part?

I'm sorry, forgot about this question.

Could it be one of the events you can enable in Settings->Appearance?
On the Arranger tab there is a selection of events that can be checked.

Re: How to route a MIDI arpeggiator?

Hi there! Currently MusE only supports audio plugins, no midi plugins, so you need to find another way to achieve this. My own knowledge of arpeggiators are limited but I know there is a standalone one called QMidiArp that can be used 'before' MusE so to speak. Routing your midi through QMidiArp and...

Re: Nattgammal is

Very cool and atmospheric, I liked it! I must say the synth that comes in at ~1:14 caught me a bit by surprise though: it seems maybe a bit too abrupt, and changes the tone the song had the first minute. Not saying it's a bad thing, but it left me puzzled. Yeah, I see what you mean. It does change ...

I absolutely welcome the critique, I'm just not dedicated enough to ask a second set of ears before publishing :)
